Shereny Barron is an Oakland native and proud alumnus of Madison Park Academy, the very community Rooted Future now serves. She has spent years working with local nonprofits, supporting youth through mentorship, service, and community engagement. After completing an AmeriCorps term working with buildOn in Oakland High Schools, she continued her professional development through Year Up, where she is building strong career and leadership skills. Shereny brings her deep Oakland roots, lived experience, and unwavering commitment to young people to her role as Rooted Future’s Community Consultant.
